Huge room. Near a train station, you can easily travel around Hikone. We really enjoyed Apa Hotel Hikone Minami. Strongly recommend this venue to anyone, can’t complain about anything.

Clean accommodations, kind staff, convenient location, enjoyable stay. Helpful front desk, excellent shower pressure, nice selection of tv stations. Set menu breakfast, accommodating requests.

Decent value for money however not a great location for a romantic escape. Nothing outstanding in terms of location or amenities, although there were a few restaurants in the area. the room was clean and spacious enough, and staff was friendly upon arrival. the shower pressure was strong and appreciated after a long day of sightseeing. It was also quiet at night which was appreciated.
The bed was very hard which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. the breakfast provided was underwhelming, with limited options and no buffet.

Some guests have experienced discomforts with the toilet seat due its size being too large for the toilet itself.

The breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of options to choose from. The location was great, with many restaurants nearby as well as being close to the castle. the warm and welcoming staff made the stay even better. The comfortable room and fast internet were a bonus.
The bathroom was a bit cramped and uncomfortable, especially the toilet. the bedding didn't agree with my allergies and caused some discomfort.
